Stoke-on-Trent offers its visitors not only some of the biggest and best-known visitor attractions in Britain, but also some of the world’s biggest names in luxury fine china and ceramics.

Wedgwood, Portmeirion and Royal Doulton still trip off the tongue, with others such as Emma Bridgewater, Moorcroft and Burleigh offering fascinating behind-the-scenes factory tours, ceramic cafes and seconds pottery factory shopping. With  award winning museums including the new Wedgwood Museum, Gladstone Pottery Museum with the history of the toilet and attractions galore such as the 800 acre Trentham Estate and Monkey Forest where you can wander amongst 140 Barbary macaques.
