Packed with surprises, Bradford is a cosmopolitan, contemporary, vibrant place. And it’s fast becoming one of the UK’s most exciting cities to visit thanks to its recent designation as the world’s first UNESCO City of Film!
Make sure you visit the National Media Museum or one of the film festivals held throughout the year which includes the Bradford International Film Festival (March) and the Bradford Animation Festival (November).
The city also has an exhilarating international arts scene as well as hundreds of beautiful buildings which reflect the city’s impressive Victorian past. Nearby is the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Saltaire. This perfectly preserved Victorian village is home to Salts Mill which is now an art gallery with one of the largest collections of David Hockney’s work. The mill and the village in general is also home to lots of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
